A Family Prayer

It Is Through Our Faith That My Family Is Keeping It Together During This Stressful Time.

This whole world has been radically affected by this global pandemic.

Here in Italy we are 8 weeks into lockdown and are looking at a confirmed 3 more to come. And that is OK….we are doing what we are told and staying healthy and together at home as a family unit.
This has not been easy to say the least.  We have had some really hard times, but we have also had some really good times. Our full and busy lives have come to a grinding halt. This new way of life in isolation has a way of amplifying what is actually going on in our lives….it points out our insecurities, anxieties and our fears. When everything gets stripped away from us we find out what is really important and what we need to work on. We can use this time to reflect upon where our focus should be…..and for me and my family it is by coming together in prayer and in our faith in God.

We have been a practicing Catholic family for many years. However like so many things in our lives maybe we were in autopilot…..ticking the boxes so to speak. When things changed suddenly, and our freedom was taken away from us, God was the first place I wanted to go. I needed my family to come together to pray for others and to pray for ourselves.

Without uniting in prayer, our family would have lost focus on what is truly important…..

One of the prayers we say together as a family is this . I wanted to share a printable version of this prayer to share with you. I encourage you to share it with your family and to pray together….it will do you so much good. I wish you peace and health during this precarious time.

God Bless, Criona

FYI: The printable and art on this post was made using Canva.com. A really great site for creating art and stuff!
