Hello and Welcome to Oh Mother Darling……..my little piece of the internet.

This is me, Criona…….a daughter of God, a wife to a soldier and a mother to four.

I am an Irish girl, married to an American boy. We have lived in three continents and are currently stationed in Italy. We are an ordinary family living an extraordinary life.

I am just a girl, lady, woman, mother.  Trying to figure it all out.  This is a place where I can share my ideas and solutions for running a home, raising four children and trying to look presentable while aging gracefully.  Where I can share my life and in return create this community where you can share yours too. A place where I can work on and share my Catholic faith. Where I can make my little part of the world a more beautiful place by adding touches of beauty, joy and kindness.

I want this to be a place where I can inspire others. My goal is that you leave my blog feeling a little happier for having spent time here. I want you to feel good about yourself. I want you to feel inspired. Our life is such a gift and we all deserve to enjoy living it.

I started this blog to In order to keep a record of my life.  I felt called to write.  A call to create.  Over the years I have let life and excuses get in the way, but now my children are older and more independent; I no longer have to live in the sidelines of my motherhood and I am determined to start doing a better job.

I want to have something that I can create and curate and call my own.
